The Research Center is located in the level +98.15 of the “Lluís Companys” Olympic Stadium, Barcelona. Placed in the northwest of the Stadium, the new center is located near to the emergency exits, towards the Olympian Walk.
This new space, wrapped with a vertical aluminum and glass panel skin, stands on the concrete walls of the Stadium. The center is organized in two levels. A guillotine door is placed in the lobby to remain independent the center of the rest of the Stadium.
In the same level of the exit to the Olympian Walk (+99.52), a large foyer leads to the administration areas, direction offices, bathrooms and the Aula Magna.
In a lower level, +98.20, one arrives to the public zones, as well as the archive, the store and the installations room.
In the last floor, there’s an attic where a store and a scullery are placed. A glass stairs communicates both floors. Under the stairs, a cobbled pavement gives place to a sculpture.
